Availability and pricing
PDF Scan GOAT is still in testing ahead of its public App Store launch. This website does not sell the app. The planned download is free, with optional Premium for a regular one-time €9.99 purchase in the German store. Local prices are shown before purchase. No subscription or introductory offer.
Add pages and export
With Premium, import a PDF, add scans or PDF pages, or merge two saved documents into a new file. Arrange pages, then export one page, a selection or the whole document. You can fill supported interactive form fields and add highlights or notes in Edit. Standard PDF export and arranging your own scans are free.
Categories, tags and search
Open Category in a document, choose or create a colored category and add tags. Tap plus to accept suggestions from the document; Save confirms your choices. In the library, search titles, categories, confirmed tags and recognized text. All search words and selected tag filters must match. For several documents: Select → mark the documents → Category → apply your choice. Existing tags stay intact. Categories and tags apply to the whole document and are included in Free; its OCR page allowance applies to text search.
Restore a purchase
Use Restore Purchases in the Premium screen with the original Apple Account and an internet connection to Apple. This restores Premium access, not your documents.
Back up documents
Documents are stored locally. A normal app update is designed to preserve them; deleting the app can remove them. In Storage & Backup, choose an additional folder and tap Back up now. The destination contains readable PDFs and Library.goatbackup with the full library. On the second device, choose Restore backup and open this archive; existing documents are not replaced. PDF exports are for sharing, while full backups retain originals and editing states. Manual backup and restoration are free; daily automatic cloud copies during app use require Premium. Device backups additionally depend on Apple settings.
Choose your language
The app and help are available in German and English. iOS automatically chooses your preferred supported language. In Settings & Help, Change app language in iOS opens the app settings. Switch the website with DE/EN.
Redaction and signatures
Share only the sanitized exported copy; the editable draft retains the original. Redacted PDFs are not searchable. A drawn signature is not a certified digital signature. Review the finished document before sharing.
